who's to say what this season
and subsequent seasons will bring
the twentieth of March
a turning of the tide
coldness giving way to warmth
why does my heart not yet sing?
like the birds I hear outside
or feel greener than the trees turn
to appear as becoming as a flower
from a seed yet seen to bloom
in the rain that falls outside
